An insult to trees
My fiancé just commented on a piece of mail we get from our real estate agent:
This is an insult to trees.
She was referring to a Valentine’s Day letter they sent us—and all their former clients—with the title Let’s Vow to be a Friend to Ourselves. It includes such gems as:
Adults expect perfection from themselves and regularly criticize themselves for anything less.
Ok, fine. But do I need my real estate agent telling me this?!? Did they stop to ask themselves if they would want to receive this? And did they actually answer ‘Yes’ to that question?
I can appreciate that they are trying to maintain a relationship with us in the hopes that we will someday recommend them or work with them again, but in fact they’re only pushing us away. Too bad with smailmail junk mail there is no simple way to unsubscribe, or better yet, set preferences. Nonetheless, as long as I’m online I’ll be emailing them now.
